Stitched together, piece by piece, this track hums with a quiet kind of wrongness. A dramatic string arrangement carries the weight of a story that should have stayed buried. But curiosity rarely listens.

"Parts and Pieces" is a tale of devotion taken too far. Of hands that refuse to let go, even when they should. Of devotion, reassembled from fragments, threaded with wire, and shocked back into motion.

(Verse - Gloom)
Every little piece I dig up Reminds me of you now
And when I get to sew you shut your heart will then be bound
To me, monstrosity They'll never understand
When the current runs through your bones
you'll wake and hold my hand

(Chorus)
With every suture that I lay, I'll build you
better than before in every single way
From broken bones to rusted plates, this
flesh and bone has made a monster out of me

(Verse - Blake)
A spark inside my mind, confusion reigns, I must confess
I came alive when you kick-started the heart deep inside of my chest
I'm a monstrosity, they'll never let us be
So darling, hush, don't say a word Your secret's safe with me

(Chorus)
With every suture that I lay, I'll build you
better than before in every single way
From broken bones to rusted plates, this
flesh and bone has made a monster out of me
With every suture that I lay, I'll build you
better than before in every single way
From broken bones to rusted plates, this
flesh and bone has made a monster out of me
With every suture that I lay, I'll build you
better than before in every single way
From broken bones to rusted plates, this
flesh and bone has made a monster out of me

Mysterious Theories

In a dust-covered box tucked away in the attic, a stack of old magazines collect together stories of strange phenomena and unsolved mysteries. Among them, a faded article about the strange occurences in a small laboratory, 1969. Just what went on with Dr. Elias Arkwright and his little-known assistant, Dr. Celia Voss? The article hints at his sudden death, experiments that went too far and a secret project that was never completed.

The Harpsichord

If you're unfamiliar with classical music, you've probably heard it in our songs but wondered just what it is... You recognise it from old recordings, powdered wigs, and things that probably shouldn't still sound this alive.

Harpsichord

The harpsichord is an instrument that pre-dated the modern piano. Unlike a piano, which strikes its strings, the harpsichord plucks them. The result is a sound that is sharp and precise. It is unchanging - there is no real soft or loud. No gentle or hard. Just note after note, delivered exactly as it is. Known for it's iconic, reversed-black-and-white keys, the harpsichord has a distinctive sound that is often described as bright, metallic, and somewhat percussive. It has a unique timbre that can be both elegant and haunting, regal and eerie, depending on how it's played.

It was heavily used during the Renaissance and Baroque periods way back in the 16th-18th centuries by quite a few classical composers. Most people know the sound without knowing the name. Bach is usually the culprit. Mozart gets blamed sometimes, but by his time the instrument was already on its way out, replaced by something softer, more expressive... and far less precise.

In our music, the harpsichord goes between being the star of the show, to hiding beneath the surface. Threaded through arrangements. Sometimes rhythmic, sometimes melodic, but always deliberate. It brings a kind of order to the chaos. A ticking mechanism behind the scenes. Can you spot which songs the following harpsichord parts are from?
